Kate Eltzroth
Senior Advisor

Kate Eltzroth brings more than 15 years of experience in the Department of Defense Military Health System to SMI. Through this experience, she has gained a unique perceptive of the DOD's Medical Budget, and Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation communities.  For the past 10 years, Ms. Elzroth has been with the US Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (MRMC) where she has worked in various roles in turning medical research into practical solutions for American service members.

Most recently, Ms. Eltzroth served as the Medical Liaison Officer where she combined the missions of the Chief Scientist of the Army and MRMC, to coordinate partnerships with other DOD organizations undertaking medical research and development.  In this capacity, she has also served the Command's Congressional Special Interest (CSI) programs, monitoring the legislative process and advising the Research Area Directors on congressional issues.  She spent six years as the Congressional Liaison for the Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC) where she played a critical role in DOD's largest medical technology research and development portfolio.

Ms. Eltzroth holds a Master of Hospital and Health Administration from Xavier University, a Bachelor’s in Health Service Administration from Ohio University, and a Certificate in Legislative Studies from the Government Affairs Institute at Georgetown University.
