Charles W. "Chip" Roth

Charles "Chip" W. Roth comes to SMI with over 20 years of experience with business development, sales and marketing, and federal decision makers in Congress, the State Department, Department of Defense, Energy, and Agriculture. He also brings technical background experience as a former Senior Project Engineer to both Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin from work on both the B-2 Stealth bomber and the Space Shuttle External Tank.

Recently, Mr. Roth served as a Principal to American Technology Specialists LLC (ATS), a business development and government relations consulting firm, which he had co-founded. Prior to forming ATS, Mr. Roth worked as the Program Director at Fabiani and Company, a government relations firm, and oversaw the marketing efforts for the high tech military and homeland security products and technologies of his clients. There, he focused on blast and ballistic mitigation technology and products. He also played an instrumental role in getting client’s products introduced and specified into military programs through the military primes and OEMS.

Before entering the government relations world, Mr. Roth gained experience in sales and marketing in the advanced material composite field. In this position he we worked on projects relating to high temperature materials for military aircraft engine, missile body, rocket structures, and high temperature space parts.
