Denise Swink
Senior Advisor

Denise Swink has over 35 years of experience at the highest levels of government and the private sector. She has worked at the U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and U.S. Geological Survey.

Ms. Swink has worked on topics including: manufacturing productivity and efficiency with emphasis on technology advancement and adoption; electricity infrastructure development and reliability; and fossil energy technology advancement for extraction, transport and utilization of resources.

Ms. Swink has created and led national level public/private partnerships to develop strategies promoting technology and manufacturing innovation. Private sector participants have ranged from CEO's to plant operation personnel. Ms. Swink has substantial knowledge of banking and finance, telecommunications, water systems, agriculture and manufacturing sectors.

Ms. Swink earned her undergraduate degree from American University and a Masters Degree at Johns Hopkins University. Ms. Swink has been recognized in her career by several industry sponsored awards: the Department of Energy Gold Medal, the U.S Environmental Protection Agency Bronze Medal, and the Senior Executive Presidential Rank Award. She is currently the Vice Chairman of the National Materials and Manufacturing Board at the National Academy of Sciences where she also participates on the Defense Materials, Manufacturing and Infrastructure Standing Committee.
