Junior Associate

Mr. True brings a background in defense and business intelligence to SMI. Most recently, Mr. True worked as an independent contractor to a competitive intelligence firm where he collected primary research to develop operational insights for a Fortune 500 company. He has also worked as an intern for The Scowcroft Group where he collected and reported business intelligence to the firm’s principals. Prior to working in business intelligence, Mr. True assisted in managing contracts for the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Diplomatic Security. Prior to that, he worked as a contractor for the Department of Defense within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller) where he supported the development and implementation of an incremental plan to help improve DoD Component financial statements.

Mr. True graduated with a master’s degree in Security Policy Studies from George Washington University in 2009. He completed his bachelor’s degree in 2006, magna cum laude, with a major in Finance and minors in Political Science and Economics.
