Charles W. Roth Joins SMI

Charles "Chip" W. Roth has joined Strategic Marketing Innovations as an Associate. Prior to joining SMI, Mr. Roth served as the Principal to American Technology Specialists LLC (ATS), a business development consulting firm. With over 20 years of experience with business development, federal decision makers in Congress, the State Department, Department of Defense, Energy, and Agriculture, Mr. Roth will focus his efforts on agency marketing and program management at SMI.

Previously, Mr. Roth worked as the Program Director at Fabiani and Company and as the Business Development Specialist at GHL Inc. There he was responsible for the sales and marketing of client’s high tech products and technologies for military and homeland security programs, providing support to the businesses of clients on Capitol Hill, and assisting the COTS blast mitigation program out of TSWG respectively. Mr. Roth also has a technical background as a Senior Project Engineer at Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin where he worked on the B-2 Stealth bomber and the Space Shuttle External Tank.

Well known within the advanced materials and composite community, Mr. Roth has an expertise in blast and ballistic mitigation technology and products, high temperature materials for military aircraft engine, missile body, rocket structures and high temperature space parts. He has also worked with large military primes to solve warfighter protection issues and to acquire the certification of state of the art technologies to help protect US warfighters.

Mr. Roth holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University.
