Former Chief of Staff to Senator John Boozman
to Bolster Lobbying Practice

Washington, D.C.:  Strategic Marketing Innovations (SMI) announced that Matt Sagely has joined the firm as Vice President.   Sagely, a twenty-five year veteran of Washington, is best known as the long-time chief of staff to Senator John Boozman.

 “We are thrilled to have someone of Matt’s caliber and experience join the firm,” said SMI’s CEO Glen Mandigo.  “We had the opportunity to work with Matt when he was on the Hill.  Matt is extremely well regarded amongst his peer chief of staffs.”

 “Joining a firm with the resources and expertise of SMI will enable me to maximize my ability to help clients achieve their federal funding and policy goals,” said Sagely.  

 From 2003-2013, Sagely served as Senator Boozman’s chief of staff.  He was the Senator’s primary legislative policy adviser, and oversaw and coordinated his role on the Appropriations, Agriculture and Commerce Committees.  Prior to that, Sagely served as legislative policy director for Congressman John Boozman as well as the senior legislative assistant for Congressman Saxby Chambliss (R-GA).  Sagely’s legislative experience encompasses appropriations, infrastructure, agriculture, and health care. 

 Additionally, Sagely worked for Booz Allen Hamilton as a senior management consultant for several branches of the federal government as well as a Partner at the Normandy Group, a bipartisan government relations firm. He earned a Masters of Business Administration from Marymount University.
